Golden Glitter of Lemmenjoki includes the whole program of River Boat Trip to Ravadas Falls and also a visit to Gollemaras gold claim after visiting the falls. We continues by boat, heading further into the National Park along the Lemmenjoki river canyon. Total distance to our destination is about 20 km. It is just a 600 m walk to the gold claim from the Lemmenjoki river bank. Our host will show us the secrets of gold panning and everybody can try their skills in gold mining. See worldfamous felt maker at work
You are welcome to visit the felt artist Kaija Paltto’s Ateljee, where you will hear about the reindeer sámi life and history in Lemmenjoki. You’ll hear also how felt has been made for thousands of years from sheep wool into many purposes. At the workshop you will see how wool fibres turn to pictures in the hands of a felt maker, describing the surrounding nature.
